‘Black’ is a two-part Documentary series Directed and Produced by Birmingham Documentary Filmmaker Daina Anderson. The series creatively captures the notions and revelations of Black British thought leaders, academics, professionals and activists; all whilst exploring some of the complex aspects surrounding Black masculinity and femininity in today’s Western Society.

Episode two, ‘Strong’ investigates the concept of the Strong Black Woman and whether she really exists.

This episode was selected as a finalist in the Best Documentary Category at the Midlands Movie Awards in 2019.
